The 2024 Fair is taking place on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 June, and will be the fifteenth to be held in the historic surroundings of the Royal Geographical Society in Kensington Gore. Established in 1980, it is the world’s oldest and largest specialist antique fair and attracts visitors and exhibitors from across the globe. This year we welcome leading international dealers from as far as the United States and Australia, as well as the EU and, of course, here in the UK. Every year the fair offers an unparalleled opportunity to see, handle and discuss a vast array of original cartographic material. It is the ideal place for beginners as well as curators and collectors, and as always admission is Free.

This year’s London Map Fair lecture will be given by the Royal Geographical Society’s Cartographic Collections Manager,  Dr Katherine Parker: ‘Blaeu Hondius and Ricci: the wall maps of the Royal Geographical Society’. In addition, throughout the weekend author and map expert Ashley Baynton-Williams will be giving talks on map collecting for beginners.

With such a wealth of material on offer, from incunabula to 20th century travel and propaganda posters, this is a summer date not to be missed.
